The deoccupation of Crimea is a matter of time. At any moment, the peninsula can return to Ukraine. Therefore, it is very important to think about an effective model for the future of Crimea so that we do not repeat the mistakes of the past.
So, what model of the future of Crimea does the team of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center see?
The model of the Future of Crimea consists of the following 5 components:
- Positive Ukrainianization of Crimea;
- Guaranteed protection of human rights in Crimea;
- Exercise of the collective rights of the indigenous peoples of Ukraine;
- The Autonomous Republic of Crimea is a national-territorial autonomy of the Crimean Tatar people;
- Crimea is an economically developed and attractive tourist region of Ukraine.
