The commander of the company of the illegal armed formation Self-Defense of Crimea faces imprisonment

The Crimean citizen, who in 2014 became the commander of the Russian Crimean Self-Defense company, faces up to 15 years in prison. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

“Managing his subordinates, he coordinated the creation of checkpoints on the territory of the peninsula and duty at them, and also the self-defense forces were involved in blocking airports, administrative buildings and military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For his actions, the accused received from the occupiers a medal For the Return of Crimea. Now the man actively supports the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, speaking in propaganda media, as well as volunteering and raising funds for the needs of participants in the so-called “special military operation”,- the report says.

He is accused under Part 4 of Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Creation of illegal armed groups), Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Treason), Part 2 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and Part 1 of Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Aiding the aggressor state).

The name and surname of the accused are not publicly available, however, according to Crimea.Realities, it is known that we are talking about Anatolii Azardovych. He has no public comments on the case.
