Yesterday, January 8, the leaders of Minsk and occupied Aqyar (Sevastopol) signed a cooperation agreement.
From the side of Belarus, the speaker was the Minsk City Executive Committee Andrei Bugrov, from the side of Aqyar (Sevastopol) – the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Vladimir Nemtsev.
“This is a fake agreement in a fake legal system. In fact, it has no legal force and of course has no recognition, since it was signed, accepted on the one hand, by a person who does not have the authority to do so. This document is rather another PR stunt, primarily for the occupation authorities of Akyar, since the occupiers have always tried to demonstrate the so-called international recognition of Crimea as Russian,” commented the lawyer of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Lyudmyla Korotkikh.
According to her, the reputation of the Russian authorities in Crimea and the city of Akyar (Sevastopol) has fallen so much that now they cannot even attract pro-Russian deputies from European countries.
“Therefore, they only have Belarus, whose power is also not recognized as legitimate in civilized countries. Therefore, two so-called entities outside the system of international legal relations entered into an agreement, which also remains outside the system of international legal relations, and therefore does not entail any legal consequences”,- she added.
