Vladimir Putin ordered the Russian Ministry of Defense to conduct the autumn conscription of 2024 through a unified register of those liable for military service and ensure registration for military service without appearing at the military registration and enlistment office. This is stated in the presidential instruction published on the Kremlin website.
Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, were appointed responsible for the unified register and electronic summons. They must submit reports on the results of the instructions on January 15, and on the implementation of a unified register – by November 1, 2024.
