The Ukrainian delegation provided the European Court of Human Rights with evidence of the existence of a systemic violation of human rights by Russia in occupied Crimea. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine reports this.

Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Iryna Mudra emphasized during the hearing that systematic human rights violations committed by the Russian authorities in Crimea have always been directed against ethnic and religious minorities, pro-Ukrainian activists and journalists, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and others.

“The brave people of Ukraine will resist the unlawful aggression of the Russian Federation until its international borders are fully restored”,- Mudra noted.

She also added that one should not count on any negotiations with the leadership of the aggressor state on the territory of Crimea.

“Taking into account the statements and evidence provided by Ukraine over the past 9 years, including today’s statements during the oral hearings, the Government of Ukraine asks the ECHR to find Russia responsible for the violation of human rights guaranteed by the Convention, which are considered in this interstate case”,- she concluded.
