DTEK’s claim against Russia for seized assets in Crimea was fully satisfied by the International Court of Arbitration in The Hague. The company’s press service reports this.

The court ordered Russia to pay compensation in the amount of $267 million.

“Russia must be under constant pressure – on the battlefield, sanctions, legal. For our part, I and all my businesses will do everything possible for this. 24/7 we will work to ensure that the enemy is brought to justice and pays for the war that was unleashed, for every crime against Ukraine and Ukrainians, for violation of international law”,- said Rinat Akhmetov, a shareholder of the company.

He also noted that the decision is proof of the victory of justice.

“I believe in justice and I know for sure that today only the first step was taken towards restoring the correct world order. And we will follow this path until Russia answers to all Ukrainians for the evil that it brought to our country”,- Akhmetov concluded.
