Over 9 months of 2023, 182 arrests were recorded in the occupied Crimea – CTRC

Over the 9 months of 2023, 182 cases of arrests were recorded, of which 122 were against representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. During the same period in 2022, 138 arrests were recorded, and in 2021 – 147. This is stated in the analysis of human rights violations in occupied Crimea by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.

We remind you that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center presented an analysis of human rights violations in occupied Crimea for 9 months of 2023. According to the organization, during the reporting period, 57 searches, 154 arrests/detentions and 165 interrogations, interviews and conversations were recorded. The total number of arrests for 9 months of 2023 is 182. There are 40 known cases of violation of the right to healthcare access. More details can be found in our report.
