The Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don convicted Mykhailo Chupil on charges of preparing a terrorist attack.
The occupiers claim that in the period from February 24 to April 26, 2022, Chupil, while in Crimea, decided to commit a terrorist act on the territory of the shopping and entertainment complex in Aqmescit (Simferopol).
“The defendant, using an internal diagram and photographic image of the shopping complex building, identified the likely locations of an improvised explosive device”,- the court said.
The court sentenced him to 11 years in a maximum security correctional colony, serving the first 2 years in prison with a fine of 50 thousand rubles.
