Lawyer Aleksey Ladin was detained in the occupied Crimea

On Friday, October 13, lawyer Aleksey Ladin, who defends Ukrainian prisoners and political prisoners, was detained in occupied Crimea.

According to Graty, Aleksey Ladin was returning from Rostov-on-Don, where he participated in court hearings on the cases of Ukrainian prisoners of war, who are being tried in the Southern District Military Court. He was supposed to arrive in Simferopol at half past five in the morning.

“There he was going to take part in a meeting to extend the preventive measure for a resident of Yalta, who is accused of possessing explosives. The lawyer was detained after arriving in Simferopol, after which his house in Sevastopol was searched at half past seven in the morning”,- the report says.

According to lawyer Lilia Hemedzhi, it is preliminary known that Ladin is accused of discrediting the Russian army because of a post on Facebook, but there are no details yet.
