President Volodymyr Zelenskyy put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council On the state of ensuring food security. The decree was published on the website of the head of state.
Within a month, the Cabinet of Ministers should intensify cooperation with the UN World Food Program to receive assistance to vulnerable populations:
within a month, develop an action plan to restore agricultural production in the deoccupied territories;
ensure an uninterrupted supply of drinking water to the population and industrial enterprises of the agro-industrial complex in settlements caught in the disaster zone;
create conditions for the development of dairy cattle breeding on farms;
prepare, within three months, programs for the revival of food and processing industry enterprises through the cluster organization of production at the levels of the community, district, region and state as a whole;
prepare, within two months, an action plan to improve the system of state control over the disposal of food waste and animal waste.
