Crimean Tatar Ruslan Asanov was placed in a psychiatric hospital for forced examination. His wife Zera Mustafaieva reported this to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
According to her, on September 26, lawyer Refat Yunus, who provides legal assistance to Ruslan Asanov, planned to visit him in pre-trial detention center-2 in the city of Aqyar (Simferopol), after which it became known that Ruslan was placed in a psychiatric hospital to undergo an examination.
“There is no reason that my husband suffers from psychiatric illness. Therefore, this kind of keeping Ruslan in a hospital is punitive medicine, humiliating the honor and dignity of a person, and at the same time it is a political method of exerting moral pressure on a political prisoner. And I also wanted to add that I learned this from a lawyer. The letters that I send him by mail are not given to him. And I don’t get it from him. I received one letter at the beginning of September and that’s it”,- she reports.
We remind you that on August 24 at four in the morning, Russian security forces broke into the houses of six Crimean Tatars – Seidamet Mustafaiev, Eldar Yakubov, Abdulmedzhyt Seitumerov, Ruslan Asanov, Ametkhan Umerov and Remzi Nimetulaiev. After that they were arrested.
