On September 5, Crimean Tatar woman Emina Zekeriaieva was threatened on the phone by an unknown person who introduced himself as an FSB officer and demanded that she come to the Investigative Commitee in Dzhankoi. Her lawyer Emil Kurbedinov told Crimean Solidarity about this.

The unknown person called twice, refused to give his name and surname, but noted that he was at the search in Zekeriaieva’s house. When the woman said that a summons was officially sent to her and that she wanted to come to the investigators with a lawyer, an unknown person began to threaten her.

“Then we will act in other ways. We will come and just pick you up”,- lawyer Kurbedinov conveyed his words.

The defense lawyer said that this unknown person actually violates the law, so he has already sent an inquiry to the FSB – was Emine Zekeriaieva really summoned to the Investigative Committee in Dzhankoi and who it was. The lawyer also insists that the employees find out if there are signs of a criminal or administrative offense in the actions of this person.

“They do not act in accordance with the law, but are trying to put pressure morally and mentally on a person, demanding to appear in completely different law enforcement agencies. Once again I want to remind all citizens that everyone has the right to know where they are being summoned, for what and at what time. These elementary things. Why law enforcement officers are moving away from them does not bode well. And these are the bells that it is necessary to demand an official agenda”,- said Emil Kurbedinov.
