On Thursday, August 24, the Kyiv District Court of the occupied Crimea placed three Crimean Tatars – Ruslan Asanov, Ametkhan Umerov and Remzi Nimetulaiev – in a pre-trial detention center for two months. It is reported by Crimean Solidarity.
It is noted that Remzi Nimetulaiev and Ruslan Asanov were charged under the first part of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Ametkhan Umerov – under the second part. Activists plead not guilty.
Seidamet Mustafaiev, Eldar Yakubov and Abdulmedzhyt Seitumerov will be prevented by the court on August 25.
