On Tuesday, August 23, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Ukraine, began the work of the Freedom Camp, which takes place in Transcarpathia!
The event is attended by people from different parts of Ukraine. As part of the camp, which will last until August 29, trainers from Ukraine and Europe will tell participants about the occupation of Crimea and human rights violations on the peninsula, the role of non-violence in gaining freedom and building democracy, liberation competitions in a historical context, the strategy of activism, human rights and sustainability, the role of visual language and design in international information campaigns.

According to Eskender Bariiev, one of the organizers of the event, the combination of lectures, group work, role-playing games, sports events and mountain recreation is an effective mechanism for generating new creative ideas.
On the first day, Iryna Starovytska, Project Manager of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Ukraine, told the participants of the Freedom Camp about the activities and areas of work of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Ukraine.
Professor Borys Babin told the camp participants about the occupation of Crimea in the context of violations of international law, about the mechanisms for protecting human rights in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine. The expert also talked to the participants about the features of public authorities, criminal authorities and migration policy after the de-occupation of Crimea.
The Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center informed the participants about the prerequisites and consequences of the occupation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. In addition, the expert paid special attention to human rights violations in the occupied Crimea and the persecution of representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people.
