Emine Dzheppar, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, spoke about the full-scale invasion and occupation of Crimea at the TEDx conference in Athens. This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to UA South.
“Today I am here not as an official, but as a person. In order to share my pain, my trauma, to share my personal experience, my reflection on the war,” Dzheppar mentioned.
Ms. Dzheppar also told her own story of her ancestors’ exile by Stalin and their return to their homeland, Crimea.
“This is the story of a Crimean Tatar child, who was born in exile far from his native Crimea. This is the story of an adult, who had to leave the Crimean Peninsula again, because of the occupation in 2014, and is now fighting to return. This is a story about finding a home, a story about losing a home,” DMFA added.
