“Businessmen working in the temporarily occupied Crimea pay taxes to Tula’s accounts” – Bariiev

May 1, 2023

Eskender Bariiev, the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, said in an interview with the Hromadske Radio, that businesses operating in the occupied Crimea should pay taxes for the first quarter of 2023 to the Tula’s accounts.

“For some reason, businessmen operating in Crimea have to pay taxes to the Tula’s accounts for the first quarter of 2023. For 8 years, they have been paying taxes to local budgets, and now they are paying to Tula. The fact that they are now taking the money there says an important thing,” Bariiev said.

Bariiev also said that propaganda was intensifying, especially in educational institutions.

According to him, the occupation administration of Crimea is conducting propaganda work, now they are even working with children.

“They have a lot of military experts who constantly comment on the events at the front and thus try to demonstrate innovations on the part of the Russian army. In this way, they are trying to provide information that they will be protected,” Bariiev says.
