Eskender Bariiev, the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, told the Yedyni novyny all-Ukrainian information telethon that the Russian occupiers had mined fields in the Krasnoperekopsk district to slow down the advance of the AFU on the peninsula.

“We warned that fields in the Krasnoperekopsk district were mined. The city of Armiansk is located in this area. Speaking about what is happening at the Crimean Titan plant, I would like to draw attention to the fact that the plant has reservoirs that accumulate fresh water. They are shallow and cannot prevent a counter-offensive. We have information that these reservoirs around the perimeter have also been mined,” Bariiev mentioned.

He spoke about concerns that the Crimean Titan chemical plant might not work properly. New risks are connected with the fact that Crimea will not receive Dnipro water after the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP.
