Eskender Bariiev, the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, said that Russia first turned Crimea into a military base, and now into a hospital and cemetery for the victims of the ‘special military operation’ in an interview with FREEDOM TV channel.
“The truth is that our land, our Crimea, has been turned not only into a military base, but also into a large military hospital. Therefore, many resorts are now being used both as rehabilitation centers for Russian soldiers and hospitals for their treatment,” he said.
In addition, the number of burials of the so-called ‘SMO’ members has increased in Crimea over the past year.
“Indeed, today there are many burials in Crimea of those collaborators, Crimeans, who took part in the ‘SMO’ to do their ‘duty’, but in reality, committed crimes against humanity. They are buried in Crimea and, according to the information I received, one of the most extensive cemeteries of this kind is located in Sevastopol, in the Cossack Bay,” he mentioned.
