The Russian-controlled Supreme Court of Crimea upheld a fine of 7,000 rubles for Rolan Osmanov. It is reported by the Crimean Solidarity.

“Rolan Osmanov pleaded not guilty, explaining in court that he had no intention of committing the actions incriminated to him”,- said lawyer Nazim Sheikhmambetov.

According to police captain Sodirov, the case was opened because of a comment on Osmanov’s Facebook page: “I have an opinion, it’s better to solve this problem in a different way and not die, not kill for this king or tsar.”

The Crimean Tatar activist does not admit his guilt and calls his work creating a framework for the Crimean Tatar people.

We remind you that in September 2022, in the Russian-controlled Kyiv District Court of Simferopol, a protocol on an administrative offense was considered against the Crimean Tatar blogger Rolan Osmanov, who posted a publication on his Facebook page condemning the killing of civilians and children in Ukraine.

Judge Andrei Dolgopolov found him guilty of committing an administrative offense under the article on discrediting the armed forces of the Russian Federation and imposed a fine of 40 000 rubles.
