Political prisoner Bohdan Ziza has been on a hunger strike in a Russian prison for 7 days. He demands to deprive him of Russian citizenship and release Ukrainian political prisoners.
According to the Graty media agency, Bohdan Ziza is in the pre-trial detention center of Rostov-on-Don, and now he has been transferred to a special unit. A week after the start of the hunger strike, he wrote a letter in which he spoke about his state of health and explained what he wanted to achieve.
“Everyone who is not too lazy is trying to prove to me that no one needs my hunger strike, no one cares. Everyone is trying to convince and induce to stop, but despite everything, I never get tired of explaining that it is still important, in any case, with any result, it will be beneficial”,- the letter says.
We remind you that on June 6, 2023, the Southern District Court of Rostov-on-Don convicted Bohdan Ziza, who was detained in Yevpatoriia in May 2022, on trumped-up charges of terrorism and public calls for terrorist activities using the media and the Internet. He was sentenced to 15 years in a penal colony, the first 4 of which he will spend in prison.
