No holiday season in Crimea – Bariiev

April 12, 2023

Eskender Bariiev, the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Centre, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, said in an interview with the Espresso TV channel that there will be no holiday season in Crimea.

“The construction business on the peninsula has now completely stopped, there is almost no demand for construction work. In fact, this area has always been the main economic component in Crimea. Also, the occupiers are trying to continue supporting agriculture on the peninsula, but according to available information, the invaders are actively mining and digging trenches in the steppes of Krasnoperekopsk, which are agricultural lands. If we are talking about recreational farming, only the coastline in the south of Crimea remains free of trenches now,” Bariiev stressed.

The expert added that now there are no places in Crimea where missiles or UAVs cannot reach. Therefore, there will be no holiday season in Crimea; Russians now prefer to visit Anapa.
