In the Bakhchysarai district, the occupiers cut down a red-book juniper

16 juniper trees, which are listed in the Red Book, were illegally cut down in the forestry territory of the Bakhchysarai District of the temporarily occupied Crimea. The total amount of damages is more than UAH 23,000.

This was reported by the press service of the occupation prosecutor’s office of Crimea.

According to the occupation agency, 16 juniper trees listed in the Red Book were illegally cut down on the territory of the Krasnomatske village until their growth stopped completely.

“The prosecutor sent the inspection materials to the law enforcement agencies to resolve the issue of criminal prosecution under Part 3 of Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal felling of forest plantations, committed on a particularly large scale)”,- the message reads.
