Nariman Dzhelyal and the Akhtemov brothers are tortured in a pre-trial detention center

Nariman Dzhelyal, as well as activists Asan and Aziz Akhtemov, are mentally and physically tortured in Akmesdzhit (Simferopol) pre-trial detention center 2. This was announced by the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov.

Refat Chubarov called on everyone who has the opportunity to share the list of “employees” of Akmesdzhit (Simferopol) pre-trial detention center 2.

“The source said that the punishers from the administration of the Simferopol pre-trial detention center 2, where Nariman Dzhelyal, Asan Akhtemov and Aziz Akhtemov were placed, are careful not to use physical violence against Nariman because of his international fame, but they torture Asan and Aziz”,- the report says.

We remind you that Nariman Dzhelyalov was found guilty of committing a crime under paragraphs a, b of part 2 of Art. 281 (commission of sabotage by an organized group, resulting in significant property damage), part 4 of Art. 222.1 (illegal acquisition, storage and transportation of explosive devices committed by an organized group), part 3 of Art. 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal transportation of an explosive device through the customs border of the Customs Union within the framework of the EurAsEC, committed by an organized group) and sentenced to 17 years in prison, a fine of 700 thousand rubles and restriction of freedom for 1.5 years.

We remind you that on September 3-4 in the occupied Crimea, the houses of the Crimean Tatars Eldar Odamanov, Aziz Akhtemov, Shevket Useinov, Asan Akhtemov and Nariman Dzhelyal were searched. The security forces confiscated the equipment and took the men with them. Later it became known that Nariman Dzhelyal and cousins Aziz and Asan Akhtemov were suspected of complicity in the sabotage. The occupants claim that they are involved in the damage to the gas pipeline in the village of Perevalne, Simferopol district of Crimea. On September 6, the so-called Russian court in the occupied Crimea arrested the First Deputy Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelyal, as well as the brothers Aziz and Asan Akhtemov.
