Tomorrow, June 5, an artist from Kezlev (Yevpatoriia) will give the last word in the Russian court. This is reported by the Instagram of the WEBOGDANZIZA project.
According to court audio records, Ziza believes his case is politically motivated.
“Shortly after the arrest, citizen Aksyonov mentioned my case and said that he talked with colleagues, mentioned the FSB officers, after which it was decided to toughen the punishment … The man publicly admitted that he, as a representative of the authorities, influenced the investigating body. This is one of the reasons why I believe, and it is, that my prosecution under Article 205 is politically motivated,” Ziza said.
We remind you that that Bogdan Ziza is accused of violating Art. 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt to commit a crime) and Art. 167 part 2 (intentional destruction or damage to another’s property, if these acts caused significant damage, committed out of hooligan motives, by arson, explosion or in any other generally dangerous way, or negligently caused the death of a person or other grave consequences). Under this article, Ziza is subjected to either forced labor for up to five years, or imprisonment for the same period.
