On Thursday, May 25, three people were detained in the Kherson region for allegedly active participation in the Noman Çelebicihan Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion.
According to the press service of the FSB department for the Kherson region, a citizen of Ukraine born in 1964 and two citizens of Russia born in 1971 and 1981 were detained.
“According to the investigation, in 2016, the suspects voluntarily joined the illegal armed formation Noman Çelebicihan Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion on the territory of Ukraine”,- the report says.
We remind you that since 2014, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center has recorded 27 arrests on charges of participation in the Noman Çelebicihan Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion: 11 in the occupied Crimea, 16 in the occupied Kherson region after February 24, 2022.
