Ukrainian detained for discrediting the Russian army

April 18, 2023

Ukrainian Dmytro Orlov, who arrived in the occupied territory to apply for a pension, was detained in Crimea. This was announced by the pro-Russian blogger and snitch Aleksander Talipov.

Talipov posted a video showing Orlov being interrogated by Russian security forces. During the interrogation, he stated that he lived in Kyiv until 2022 and spoke negatively about the Russian army and the Russian war against Ukraine on the pages of social networks. Orlov also noted that in 2023 he left for Kerch to apply for a pension. Separately, the informer Talipov claims that Dmytro has two citizenships – Ukrainian and Russian, as well as an apartment in Kerch.

There are no official statements about the detention of Orlov, as well as his comments on this matter.
