On Monday, April 17, the opening ceremony of the twenty-second session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues took place in New York.
As a reminder, the theme of this year’s session is “Indigenous Peoples, Human Health, Planetary and Territorial Health, and Climate Change: A Rights-Based Approach”.
Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Eskender Bariiev, manager of the CTRC Liudmyla Korotkykh during this week will actively participate in the work of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.
They will inform the international community about the situation of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, the persecution and repression to which the Russian occupiers subject representatives of the indigenous people of Ukraine in the occupied Crimea and southern Ukraine.
