Stanislav Karachevsky is the second victim of the Russian occupants among the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Crimea

April 6, 2023

Nine years ago, on April 6, 2014, a Russian soldier shot Ukrainian soldier Stanislav Karachevsky in the back with a Kalashnikov assault rifle. The major of the Ukrainian army died on the spot in the corridor of the hostel in the village of Novofedirovka, Saky region of Crimea. The FSB then tried to cover up the murder, but Karachevskyy‘s wife went to court.

The murderer of the Ukrainian military, Russian Marine Yevgeny Zaitsev from Yakutia, was sentenced to only two years in a colony-settlement.

This fact refutes all statements by Vladimir Putin and the Russian media that Crimea was allegedly seized without casualties.

We remind you that according to the data of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, it is known about 60 dead during the occupation of Crimea, 28 of which are representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. Details can be found in the diagram Victims of the occupation of Crimea.
