Putin visited Mariupol and Crimea

March 19, 2023

Russian President Vladimir Putin illegally visited the occupied territories, thus violating the state sovereignty of Ukraine.

March 18, Saturday, Putin arrived on the peninsula in honor of the anniversary of the seizure of Crimea by Russian troops, where he was seen at the opening of the Korsun restaurant.

It is known that Putin got to Mariupol by helicopter, and then drove by car several districts of the city. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Khusnullin, who said that the road between Mariupol and Donetsk has already been completed.

Russian media claim that the trip was not planned, and that Putin talked to the residents of the destroyed Nevsky microdistrict, without mentioning that it was the Russian military who destroyed it.

Both visits were not coordinated with the Ukrainian authorities and are absolutely illegal.
