Russian security forces beat Rustem Osmanov in the colony of the Russian Federation

Political prisoner Rustem Osmanov, who was previously sentenced to 6 years in prison for participating in the Noman Çelebicihan Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion was beaten by the Russian security forces.

As it became known to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, in the cell where Rustem Osmanov is kept, searches are systematically carried out and all personal belongings are searched. Once he was asked where he came from and what article he was charged with. After the political prisoner replied that he was from Ukraine and was under article 208 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the man was beaten.

As a result of such actions, the state of health of Rustem Osmanov has deteriorated significantly. He does not receive any medical care.

Previously, the man was forced to accept citizenship, but he refused. Moreover, he was urged to take part in the war against Ukraine and defend the motherland. The occupiers promised freedom, a good salary and the status of a hero for this.

We remind you that on April 14, 2022 in the village of Kalanchak, Kherson region, in the house of the Crimean Tatar Rustem Osmanov, the Russian occupants conducted a search, after which they illegally abducted a man. After that, he was transferred to the Simferopol pre-trial detention center. On August 4, 2022, the court of Crimea passed a sentence on Rustem Osmanov. He was given 6 years in prison. Later he was transferred to the Ulyanovsk region, the city of Dimitrovgrad.
