The head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the head of the legal affairs and foreign affairs department of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Eskender Bariiev, commented on the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Ukraine in an interview with UA: First TV channel.
On February 3, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Ukraine on an official visit. He wants to mediate in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict to improve the situation.
“The role of Turkey's mediation in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict can be effective. First of all, we know that Turkey also supported the Crimean platform. Another question is whether the Russian Federation will go to this process”,- Bariiev said.
The expert believes that this step by Turkey is very important for Ukraine, as we see support not only at the diplomatic level, but also at the economic level. After all, important documents were signed on investments in Ukraine, on the development of a free economic zone, as well as on military cooperation. Of course, the RF will not like it.
