February 11, 2022

On Friday, February 11, another illegal military exercise took place in the occupied Crimea. The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation conducted training firing at sea targets. More than 40 units of military and special equipment were involved. This was reported by the press service of the Black Sea Fleet.

“The servicemen completed the deployment of the complexes, their preparation for combat use and training missile firing at a sea target. In addition to the tasks of searching for and destroying ships of a mock enemy, the crews conducted training to replenish the ammunition load, as well as to remove the complexes from under attack, change, equip and mask the starting positions”,- the message said.

We remind you that military exercises, promotion of military service and conscription into the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held in the occupied Crimea. The exercises conducted by the Russian military destroy the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a gross violation of international law.

Earlier, NATO, in a statement on Crimea, condemned Russia's ongoing large-scale military buildup in Crimea and expressed concern about Russia's efforts and stated plans to further build up its military power in the Black Sea region.
