Five Crimean Tatar activists who were detained on August 17, 2021 in the so-called Hizb but Tahrir case were accused of preparing for a violent seizure of power or a violent retention of power. This was reported by the press service of the FSB.
“The Investigation Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as part of the investigation of a previously initiated criminal case under Art. 205.5 (organization and participation in the organization of the activities of a terrorist organization) initiated a new criminal case against five citizens of the Russian Federation under Part 1 of Art. 30 – Art. 278 of the Criminal Code of Russia (preparation for the violent seizure of power or the forcible retention of power)”,- the message said.
We remind you that on August 17, Russian security forces came to the homes of five Crimean Tatars: Dzhebbar Bekirov, Zaur Abdullaiev, Rustem Tairov, Raif Fevziiev and Rustem Murasov. All activists were detained. The so-called courts of the occupied Crimea have chosen a measure of restraint for all activists in the form of detention.
