The manager of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Zarema Bariieva in an interview with the ATR TV channel told about the documentary film Give Me Back My Dad! A representative of the CTRC said that this film reveals the real stories of children who are forced to grow up without their fathers in the occupied Crimea.
“We didn't try to embellish. We did not try to add more emotions, because emotions overwhelm the children themselves. They talk about what they have to deal with every day. They shared how hard it is to grow up without a father: when dad cannot play football with you, when dad cannot take you to first grade…”,- she said.
Bariieva also noted that many children are born after the arrest of their fathers. That is, they are not even given the opportunity to know their father's love and care. There are 12 such children today. They grow up only with their fathers’ photographs.
The CTRC tried to show in the film that because of the crimes of the Russian Federation, children of different ages suffer equally: 5-year-olds, 16-year-olds, boys and girls. Each of the children tell their own personal story. It's worth noting that the big highlight of the film is the animation.
“We hope that this film will not leave anyone indifferent. We are doing everything so that anyone who views the film can understand what is really happening in the occupied Crimea”,- concluded Zarema Bariieva.
