Lawyer Semedliaiev was fined 4 thousand rubles

November 11, 2021

On Thursday, November 11, the so-called Central District Court of Simferopol found lawyer Edem Semedliaiev guilty of an offense under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer). He was arrested for 12 days and fined 4,000 rubles. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

We remind you that on October 25, the lawyer was present at the appeal in the so-called Krasnohvardiiske Hizb ut-Tahrir case. After the mass arrests of the Crimean Tatars on the same day, Semedliaiev was to the so-called Central police department 3, where he defended their rights. There, the head of the CCE department, Ruslan Shambazov, demanded that the lawyer undress completely to check his body for extremist tattoos. For the fact that the lawyer refused to do this, an administrative protocol was drawn up against him under Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.

Semedliaiev also refused to stop recording audio on a dictaphone in the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, for which he received a second protocol under the same article.
