The political prisoner, First Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Nariman Dzhelialov, was charged with a new Article – smuggling explosives by an organized group across the customs border. Lawyer Nikolai Polozov reported this via his Facebook page.
“In addition to the charges previously brought against Nariman for committing sabotage as part of an organized group (clause A, part 2 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and for illegal acquisition, storage and transportation of explosive devices committed by an organized group (Part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code RF), today Nariman Dzhelialov was accused of smuggling an explosive device. That is, in the illegal crossing of the customs border of the Customs Union within the framework of the EurAsEC of an explosive device committed by an organized group (Part 3 of Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)”,- the message says.
The lawyer notes that the sanction under this article is from 7 to 12 years in prison.
We remind you that on September 3-4 in the occupied Crimea, the houses of the Crimean Tatars Eldar Odamanov, Aziz Akhtemov, Shevket Useinov, Asan Akhtemov and Nariman Dzhelyal were searched. The security forces confiscated the equipment and took the men with them. Later it became known that Nariman Dzhelyal and cousins Aziz and Asan Akhtemov were suspected of complicity in the sabotage. The occupants claim that they are involved in the damage to the gas pipeline in the village of Perevalne, Simferopol district of Crimea. On September 6, the so-called Russian court in the occupied Crimea arrested the First Deputy Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelialov, as well as the brothers Aziz and Asan Akhtemov.
