As part of the work, future people’s diplomats were told about the role of visual language and design in international public information campaigns and the specifics of the Middle East.

Andrii Yermolenko, artist, cartoonist, online told the activists of the Freedom Camp about the role of visual language and design in international public information campaigns. Using specific examples, the trainer analyzed the symbolism and messages of certain elements on various posters.

Iliia Kusa, an expert on international politics at the analytical center Ukrainian Institute for the Future told the students of the Academy about the peculiarities of the Middle East in the mosaic of world processes, in particular, about the players, internal processes, interests and ideology of the region.

According to the expert, the Middle East has been playing a very important role in recent years due to several factors: population growth and, as a consequence, the process of pressure from the global south on the global north. In addition, as noted by Iliia Kusa, the Middle East is important for the regional security of several adjacent regions – the Mediterranean basin, Central Asia and the Black Sea basin.
