Another search conducted in the occupied Crimea

October 1, 2021

On Tuesday, September 28, Russian security forces in the occupied Crimea raided the house of Crimean activist Stanislav Krasnov, although he has not lived on the peninsula since 2013. The man himself reported this via his Facebook page.

“Today at 05:50 my mother called me and said that unknown persons (most likely the FSB) were knocking down the doors to the apartment where I was registered in Simferopol. I heard the crashing of doors. After that 6 hours there was no connection”,- he wrote.

According to the servicemen, they were looking for Krasnov. They stated that the man allegedly returned to Simferopol on September 11, but he had not been there since 2013. For three hours the servicemen were conducting a search. As a result, they stole phones and flash drives, wrote it down in their search protocol. They turned everything upside down in the apartment.

“Then they took my mother to the Crimean Investigative Committee and for another two hours they interrogated her about me: where I live, where I work and all that, they also asked about my wife. They were telling some kind of nonsense that I lead the Tatar battalion and am engaged in terrorism in the ATO (I have been on the FSB lists of terrorists on the Rosfinmonitoring website since 2015)”,- Krasnov added.
