September 17, 2021

Political prisoner Viktor Stashevsky, who was previously sentenced to six and a half years in prison, was transferred to CC-9 in the Krasnodar Region. This was reported via the website of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia.

We remind you that on June 4, Russian security forces searched at least 9 houses of Crimeans in Sevastopol suspected of participating in the Jehovah's Witnesses religious organization banned in Russia. As a result, 52-year-old Viktor Stashevskiy was detained, but the next day he was released from the detention center on recognizance not to leave. On October 19, the so-called Gagarinsky District Court of the occupied Sevastopol began a new trial of the so-called case against Viktor Stashevskiy, a suspect in participation in the Jehovah's Witnesses religious organization banned in Russia. In March 2021, the so-called Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol sentenced Stashevskiy to six and a half years in prison.
