More than 5 million tourists visited the occupied peninsula this summer

In the occupied Crimea, despite the spread of coronavirus infection and water shortage, over 5 million tourists were recorded this summer, most of whom came to the peninsula from the Russian Federation via the Crimean bridge. This is reported by the so-called head of the occupied Crimea Sergey Aksenov.

“The tourist flow to Crimea for the first time reached 7 million tourists by the end of summer. According to the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the republic, for 8 months of 2021, the tourist flow to Crimea exceeded the record for the entire post-Soviet period of 2019 by 24%, reaching 7.2 million by the end of summer, while for the whole of 2019, 7.4 million people visited Crimea”,- the message said.

Over the summer period of 2021, more than 5.2 million tourists visited Crimea, which is 1.5 times more than in the summer of 2020, and 15% more than during the same period in 2019.
