Suspects of participation in the organization Jehovah’s Witnesses were detained in Crimea

Russian security officials have opened criminal cases against two suspects of participation in the Jehovah’s Witnesses religious organization, banned in Russia. This was reported via the website of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia.

Detainees:

Dar’ia Kuzio – recognizance not to leave

Petro Zhyltsov – house arrest

“Investigators charged 33-year-old Petro Zhyltsov with articles on organizing the activities of an extremist organization (Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and on financing extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Kuzio is charged with an article on the financing of extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of Russia)”,- the statement says.
