Not a single drop to the occupant: Russian occupation destroys

August 6, 2021

As part of the campaign Not a Single Drop to the Occupant, which was previously launched by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, we present to your attention the second poster Russian occupation destroys.

We continue to inform the international and Ukrainian community about how the Russian Federation is deliberately creating a catastrophic water situation in the occupied Crimea. In our first publication, we talked about militarization. What else is the Russian Federation doing in Crimea?

Population replacement.

During the period of the continuing temporary occupation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, the population of Crimea, including Sevastopol, was unlawfully increased from 2.5 million to at least 3.5 million people, including through the formation of numerous military units, security forces, mass resettlement of officials, as well as assistance initiative resettlement of Russian citizens to Crimea from disadvantaged regions of Russia.

At the same time, since the beginning of the occupation of Crimea, more than 55 thousand people have left the peninsula, 25 thousand of whom are  the representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people.

This demographic policy is a gross violation of the requirements of the IV Geneva Convention, and at the same time it does not take into account the limited water supply in Crimea.

That is why the Crimean Tatar Resource Center launched a campaign "Not a Single Drop to the Occupant" in order to inform the international community and the public about what is happening in the occupied Crimea and warn about the possible consequences.

We call on everyone to join the information campaign of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and distribute this poster via their pages on social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram) to show the whole world that we continue to fight for our Crimea and will never give water to the invader.

The posters were developed by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, activists of the international movement for the de-occupation of Crimea and solidarity with the Crimean Tatar people #LIBERATECRIMEA and Ukrainian artist Andriy Yermolenko .
