The speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, reacted to the extension of the EU sanctions against the Russian Federation due to the occupation of Crimea, stating that the peninsula is part of Russia according to the Constitution. She reported this via her Facebook page.
“The EU extended sanctions against Crimea and Sevastopol for a year. They know what the answer will be. They know that Crimea is part of the Russian Federation according to the Constitution. They know that the decision was made on the basis of the Crimean referendum, the results of which have been reaffirmed by our realities, which the EU cannot ignore. They know, but they are still looking for their favorite rake”,- the message said.
We remind that on June 21, the European Union extended the sanctions against Russia for another year due to the occupation of Crimea.
