The Russian court extended the house arrest for the defendant in the so-called Hizb ut-Tahrir case Amet Suleymanov

On Wednesday, June 16, the Southern District Military Court extended the house arrest of Amet Suleymanov, a defendant in the so-called third Bakhchysarai Hizb ut-Tahrir case for two months, despite the fact that his health condition is deteriorating.

We remind that on March 11, 2020, Russian security forces raided the homes of Crimean Tatars in Bakhchysarai and the Bakhchysarai district. Searches were carried out in the house of Seytumer Seytumerov, Shukri Seytumerov, Amet Suleymanov, Seidamet Mustafayev, Rustem Seitmemetov, Ayder Suleymanov and Seytumer Seytumerov. The activists were detained. On March 12, the so-called Kyiv District Court of Simferopol sent Amet Suleymanov under house arrest. On March 13, the so-called Kyiv District Court chose a measure of restraint for the defendants in the so-called third Bakhchysarai Hizb ut-Tahrir case – Osman Seytumerov, Seytumer Seytumerov and Rustem Seitmemetov in the form of detention.
