In the occupied Crimea, 13 so-called criminal cases were opened for evading service in the Russian army

In the occupied Crimea in May, 13 new criminal cases were recorded against residents of Crimea under Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (evasion from service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). This was reported by the Crimean Human Rights Group.

“13 new criminal cases and 6 new sentences against residents of Crimea for evasion from service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) were recorded in May by the Crimean Human Rights Group”,- the message says.

It is noted that during the entire period of the occupation of the peninsula, 218 criminal cases were initiated and transferred to the court against the Crimeans who wanted to avoid being drafted into the army. A verdict has already been passed on 186 of them, 15 more are under consideration.
