Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisova appealed to the Russian Ombudswoman Tatyana Moskalkova with a demand to restore the rights of Ukrainian citizen Lenur Khalilov, who was banned from using the Crimean Tatar language during the so-called court session. She reported this via her Facebook page.

“The aggressor country continues to grossly violate the procedural rights of Ukrainian citizens who are illegally accused by the occupation authorities of allegedly criminal offenses. In particular, the judge once again forbade Lenur Khalilov to address, communicate, express his legal position and testify in the native Crimean Tatar language with the help of an interpreter”,- the message said.

Denisova appealed to the Ombudswoman for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Tetiana Moskalkova, with a demand to restore the rights of a citizen of Ukraine Lenur Khalilov, in particular, to provide him with the right to protection and other citizens of Ukraine who are deprived of it.
