A flash mob was being held in the occupied Crimea to mark the 77th anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people. Dozens of people unfurled posters with the words: No deportation of Crimean Tatars to Russian prisons!, In 1944 – traitors, in 2014 – terrorists, May 18 is still going on, Rehabilitation on paper – in practice, a prison. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.
“May 18 is still going on … False labels, baseless accusations and arrests, deportation far beyond the borders of Crimea of our innocent compatriots, and sentences with inhumane terms of imprisonment. Repressions on ethnic and religious grounds still continue to take place. Under the guise of combating terrorism, under the guise of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Crimean Tatars Muslims continue to be subjected to deportation. This flash mob is a symbol of incessant repression against the whole people”,- said Rustem Emiruseinov's wife.
