On Tuesday, May 18, the day of memory of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people, activists in Lutsk will hold a number of events. In particular, at 13:30 in the Palace of Culture, residents and guests of the city will be shown a documentary film Witnesses of the 1944 Genocide, the author of which is the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.

The event was organized by the public organization Crimean Tatars of Volyn, Volyn Regional State Administration, Lutsk City Council with the support of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
This film is dedicated to the investigation and recognition of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people as an act of genocide. In the testimony and memoirs of the heroes of the film, there is the fate of hundreds of thousands of other deported Crimean Tatars. The footage presented in the film is exclusive. The scenes were recorded during court hearings as part of the criminal investigation of the 1944 genocide of the Crimean Tatar people. Some of the heroes of the film are no longer alive, but their testimony will forever remain legally relevant and will serve as a source of objective information about the terrible tragedy of the indigenous people of Crimea.
