We remind that on September 22, 2017, the so-called Zheleznodorozhny District Cour” of Simferopol sentenced Mykola Semena to two and a half years in jail with a probation period of three years and a ban on public activities. On December 18, the so-called Crimean Supreme Court partially softened the sentence to journalist Mykola Semena in terms of additional punishment: it is a ban on engaging in public activities for 2 years, and not three, as it was before, in a previous court decision. In January 2020, the journalist received a decision from the so-called Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Simferopol on the early termination of the probationary period and the removal of his criminal record.
