Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev, in an interview with the Espresso TV channel, said that the level of panic among Russians in the occupied Crimea has decreased due to the lack of information about the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and they no longer are going to leave the peninsula en masse.
“We have been collecting information in Crimea these days, and they have calmed down a bit. The Russians continue to live in Crimea and are confident that they will be protected by the RF Armed Forces. They are confident that Russian air defense is working well. It is wrong to say that they are leaving Crimea en masse”,- he said.
In his opinion, now the Armed Forces of Ukraine need to activate such events that will intimidate them.
“They have no information about what is happening on the mainland of Ukraine, including the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They forbid giving information about events in Ukraine about what is really happening. On the other hand, they forbid the media in Crimea to give information about explosions at military facilities. Most Crimeans receive their information through television. Many Russians in Crimea have now calmed down and are not planning to leave Crimea for the time being. We need to inform people there more”,- Bariiev summed up.
